Hypit
Open-source agent that clones viral videos into reusable workflows
About Hypit
Hypit is an open-source AI video platform with a provocative pitch: "clone any viral video" — not the content, but the format. Its agents reproduce the shots, pacing, dialogue, B-roll, captions and visual effects of a reference video as an editable, repeatable workflow, locating edits by semantic meaning rather than fixed timestamps. BYOK (bring your own API keys), self-hostable, works with Claude, Codex and compatible agents, installable via one npx command.\n\nTemplates for podcasts, street interviews, conversations and video calls cover the formats that actually go viral. The honest framing matters: cloning the format of a viral video is legitimate creative work — stealing the content isn't, and Hypit is built for the former. Who it's for: short-form creators who reverse-engineer viral formats manually and want that process automated, developer-creators comfortable with CLI and BYOK, and teams producing volume content who need variants at scale. Free and open source. The 1-command-100-variants pitch is the fun part; the quality will still depend on your reference video and your model keys.

What to consider before using Hypit
Hypit is one of many tools in its category. Before committing to it, weigh a few practical points that tend to decide whether a tool actually fits your work:
- Match the tool to your real task, not to its feature count. A tool that excels at your specific job beats one with a longer checklist you will never use.
- Check how it fits your existing workflow — integrations, export formats, and whether the output needs heavy manual cleanup.
- Read the license and pricing terms for commercial use, especially if you plan to publish or resell what the tool produces.
