The manga generation space is heating up. The technical challenge that separates good from bad is character consistency. If the protagonist looks like a different person in every panel, the output is useless for sequential storytelling. Makiverse's agentic framing suggests they have some approach to this problem, possibly through multi-step generation where the AI plans the page layout, designs characters, and then renders panels with those designs locked in.

The pricing page was not visible in the homepage text. For a creative tool like this, the free tier quality matters enormously. If the free output is good enough to hook someone, they will pay for volume. If the free output looks like generic AI art with speech bubbles pasted on, they will leave.
