Type a name, get an AI-sourced profile with links you can verify
DeepSearch Name does one thing: you type a person's name, optionally add a company or city, and it returns a brief profile with links to public sources. The pitch explicitly says "from the open web, not a background check," which is a careful legal positioning that tells me they are aware of the privacy line they are walking.
The sample searches on the homepage use recognizable names (Satya Nadelli, generic placeholders). The output format is an AI-generated summary with source links you can click and verify yourself. That last part is important. Too many AI search tools present confident claims with no way to check where the information came from. If DeepSearch Name actually links to the LinkedIn, Crunchbase, or news article it pulled from, it is a research accelerator rather than a trust-black-hole.
The pricing page exists but I could not see the tiers from the homepage. For a people-search tool, the competition is Google dexterity and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. The value proposition has to be speed and synthesis: ten minutes of manual Googling compressed into a five-second query with structured output.
My concern is accuracy with common names. "Alex Chen" could be hundreds of people. The company and city filters help, but the tool needs to handle ambiguity gracefully or it becomes a slot machine.
